For someone who handed you a card or gave you their details. A badge must be scanned to pull anything from the event registration.

Leads are saved on this device first, then sent up. Nothing is lost if the signal drops.

Scanning a badge
Ask the attendee first — scanning their badge is how they agree to share their details with you. Point the camera at the QR code on their badge and it will fill in their name and contact details.
Badge will not scan
Use Manual Entry instead and type what they gave you. You cannot look someone up by name — a scan is the only way to reach the event registration.
Scanning the same person twice
That is fine. It opens the lead you already saved so you can add to your notes.
Poor signal
Scanning needs a connection, because the badge only carries an ID. Notes and edits you make are saved on the device and sent up when the signal returns — check Sync Status to see anything waiting.
